It is like marching with the development contingent of the government. The budget announcements in 2012-13 clearly stated the development of several cities with modern amenities along 1483 km long Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and we are very close to that corridor of growth and opportunities. . At an estimated USD 90 billion, the DMIC is an ambitious project. The first phase from 2012 to 2019 across seven new cities will be completed by 2019 and the train will run by 2017-end on dedicated freight corridor. The Project Incorporates nine Mega Industrial zones of about 200-250 sq. km., High speed freight line, Three Ports and Six Airports. A six lane intersection-free expressway connecting the country's political and financial capital, will reduce the Delhi-Mumbai transit time from 60 to 36 hours. Several industrial estates and clusters, industrial hubs, with top-of-the-line infrastructure would be developed along this corridor to attract more foreign investment.
Besides, the government is going to set up worlds largest solar power plant at Sambhar Lake City having a total generation capacity of 4,000 MW. According to Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, the first phase of the project- having 1,000 MW capacity is likely to be commissioned by the end of 2016. The 4,000 MW of the solar plant is expected to supply 6,400 million units of energy per year and consequently help to reduce CO2.
