Bawal Residency, an industrial hub in south-west Haryana, is scripting Indias biggest turnaround story. Recently in march 2010, Paul Swaraj owned Caparo Group inked a JV with Finland based Wartsila to build a $115 million Gas based power plant in Bawal. It is expected get completed in Dec 2010 and deliver over 60 MW of Power to meet the power demands the vast industrial belt in Bawal.

Nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi. Bawal Railway Station is on the Alwar - Rewari line. National Highway 8 passes through Bawal connecting it major cities cities of Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodra, Surat and Mumbai. National Highway 71 connects it with Jalandhar, Nakodar, Barnala, Rohtak and Rewari.

Panipat-Bawal National Highway is Rs 1,800-crore project. This national highway will connect northern and southern Haryana through Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Bawal. While the Bawal – Jhajjar - Rohtak section will be 85 km-long and is likely to cost about Rs 1,000 crore, the 82 km-long Panipat – Gohana - Rohtak section will incur about Rs 800 crore.
