Winner of the Habitat Award for Apartment Planning as well as the Best Group Housing Project for the year 2003, this project is located close to MG road off Cambridge road, Bangalore. The project, comprising 24 residential units in four floors, was designed around an existing old Gul Mohar tree creating a sort of community courtyard. For the exterior facade, long and thin wire-cut bricks were especially developed and used along with long hand-dressed rough granite slabs to emphasize the horizontality of the building

Other interesting details include designer windows with a saw tooth pattern on the frames, especially designed stairs with only treads and no risers detailed to prevent dust and water from falling onto someone walking on the lower flight. Even the basement for parking has natural stone walls and loads of natural light. 8 years on, 23 of the 24 apartments continue to belong to the original owners and the only person to sell so far, sold only to buy in another project of ours
